Offseason Schedule As in real life, there is a period of time following each season in which teams assess their strengths and weaknesses and begin to chart which free agents they might be interested in signing for the upcoming season. For the purposes of PB's Fantasy Basketball, you will have to wait until the summer months to begin the off-season progress and sign free agents. The free agent offseason will officially start the third week of July and you will be able to bid on Restricted Free Agents at this point. However, the NBA Rookie Draft will take place first, the week before, the second week of July. What this means is that each team will have to wait until this time to put their well laid plans into action. Below is a list of the off-season timeline. Second week of July - NBA Rookie Draft Third week of July - Restricted Free Agents are eligible to be bid on. Fourth week of July - Free Agency is open to all GM's. Each week will have a different position eligible to bid upon. During the course of the league you will receive plenty of notice of all of these important dates. Please plan accordingly. Keep in mind trading is open all off-season beginning with the first day after the last regular season game is played.
